Blue Ocean’s Technology

The Blue Ocean team has a long and impressive history of delivering successful products to the biomedical testing industry.  The team has designed and developed a number of flow cytometry systems for both clinical and research markets, with over one thousand units manufactured and installed by the leading cell analysis companies in the industry.   These multi-color, laser-based flow cytometry systems have become well known for their sensitivity, resolution, high-speed data collection, easy-to-use software and advanced automation.

As a result of these efforts, the Blue Ocean team has acquired valuable intellectual property including several patents issued and pending, with several more in the pipeline.  Blue Ocean Biomedical was formed to apply this wealth of technology and experience to the development of Load & Go™ cellular analysis systems and to market these systems for a range of high-demand assays.  The CR Systems, the first fluorescence-based systems to integrate sample preparation and analysis in one compact platform, are only the first result of this rich heritage.
