Stem Cell Analysis

The Blue Ocean Stem Cell Analysis (SCA) assay is a standardized panel for use on the CR Series Systems.

Blu-O™ SCA assay is used as part of a Blue Ocean Biomedical system.

Blue Ocean systems provide data regarding the identification and enumeration of CD34+ cells in whole blood or cord blood. The systems provide population percentages and absolute counts.

The SCA CD45/CD34 monoclonal antibody panel combines two murine, anti-human monoclonal antibodies in a saline solution. Each antibody is conjugated to a different fluorescent dye for simultaneous identification of white blood cells and CD34+ cells via their cell surface markers. 7-AAD is used to ensure the viability of the cells tested.

The SCA monoclonal antibody mixture and associated support reagents are optimized for peak performance on Blue Ocean systems.  All reagents are ready-to-use: No pre-analysis reagent development work is required.

All Blu-O monoclonal antibody vials are cap-pierce-able and barcoded, which allows the user to load the vials onto the system in any random position. Load the vial in the carousel onboard the system, and GO.
